Launch of TVLSN - the Thames Valley's first dedicated life sciences business network – University of Reading
19 January 2004Professor Julia Goodfellow CBE, Chief Executive of the Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council, will address biotechnology, pharmaceutical and other Life Sciences businesses, academics, clinicians and support professionals at the Launch of a new sector networking organisation for the region on 12 February 2004. Businesses and scientists are invited to join the Thames Valley Life Sciences Network (TVLSN), which aims to generate a supportive and innovative environment that will accelerate knowledge transfer and facilitate the commercialisation of IP from the sector. It will promote the Thames Valley as a centre of excellence for Life Sciences and aims to encourage further investment in the area. Membership of TVLSN is free and benefits include: regular networking events; free consultancy for SME's; opportunities for relationship building; a forum for the exchange of ideas; access to business support and information and a members' website. Other speakers will include Dr David Gillham (Syngenta) Network Champion, Sian Duxberry, Associate Director - Property Development of Network sponsors GreenPark (a development by the Prudential) and Dr Jennifer Moynihan (The University of Reading) Network Co-Founder.
