Parents and children can take part in exciting 'warfare trails' together, answering questions on warfare equipment by tracking down various extraordinary museum pieces. For the younger children there will be a reading from the Iliad at midday, where exciting tales will be told At 11.00am and 2.00pm art and craft sessions will take place. For a small contribution to the museum of £2.50, children of all ages (accompanying adults are free) will have the chance to make Trojan horses, swords and shields. Places for these workshops do need to be booked in advance. 'Troy' marks the beginning of many exciting summer events at the University's Ure and Cole museums. This family day promises to be a fun educational experience for young and old, where the truth about Troy is finally uncovered.
