Free Business Mentoring from TVLSN – University of Reading
04 May 2004The next Thames Valley Life Sciences Network Mentor Panel will be held on Thursday 13 May 2004 in Reading. Mentoring is free to all TVLSN members. Members are offered a confidential 45-minute session with a panel of experts comprising legal and accountancy professionals, business advisors and life scientists. To date, the mentor panel has helped a start-up company identify potential sources of finance, an IT-based life sciences company put together a targeted business plan, and a consultant to plan a marketing campaign. The service aims to signpost the client towards a structured solution to their problem, however large or small. Discussions take place in a relaxed and informal environment and often alert the client to ideas and issues that they had not considered previously. "We found the discussion stimulating and the advice valuable and practical to help us move our business forward," said one mentor panel client. Membership of TVLSN is free and in addition to mentoring, offers regular networking events, opportunities for relationship building, a forum for the exchange of ideas and a members' website. Mentoring sessions are by appointment. To apply please contact Tracey Sanderson, Network Facilitator (email) tvlsn@reading.ac.uk or visit http://www.tvlsn.org. End Notes for Editors 1.
