Meet Reading's new PCSOs – University of Reading

09 November 2005

A unique partnership between Thames Valley Police and the University of Reading has seen the arrival of three new Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) joining the area. Jason Gregory, 19, of Woodley, Rebecca Platt, 21, of Basingstoke and Charlotte (Charlie) Dugdale, 22, of Basingstoke, joined Berkshire West BCU on Monday (7 November). They are three of the four PCSOs employed after the University took advantage of a joint funding initiative offered by the Thames Valley Police Authority to recruit PCSOs. Recruitment activity for the fourth PCSO for the University continues. Members of the media are invited to come and meet the PCSOs for photos and interviews, along with Neighbourhood Inspector Kevin Sinfield and the University's Security Services Manager, Maureen Mills, at 2pm on Friday 11 November. For details of the location, please contact Sian Hickman on Thursday on 0118 953 6032. End
