New Director of Music appointed – University of Reading

Stuart DunlopStuart Dunlop has been appointed as the University of Reading's new Director of Music from 1 September 2005. Stuart began his musical career as a bassoonist, playing and recording on both period and modern instruments until conducting commitments demanded his full attention. Stuart began conducting at the University of York. He continued his training at the Royal Academy of Music and abroad in the Czech Republic and the Aspen Music School in Colorado, USA, where he was a Conducting Fellow. His teachers have included Sir Colin Davis, Colin Metters and Murry Sidlin.
