New advisory board to help produce outstanding real estate graduates – University of Reading
04 April 2006The Reading Real Estate Foundation has joined forces with senior figures from the real estate industry in a bid to ensure that University of Reading continues to produce the very best real estate graduates. The newly-created Real Estate Advisory Board will work to maintain and improve the high standards of real estate teaching at the University. The Board has been formed by collaboration between the Reading Real Estate Foundation, the University's Department of Real Estate & Planning and the industry. Alan Froggatt, formerly European Chief Executive of CB Richard Ellis, will be Chair of the new Advisory Board. Professor Colin Lizieri, Head of the Department of Real Estate & Planning, said: "The Real Estate Advisory Board has been created to form a vital interface between practitioners, academics and students. The University has exciting plans for real estate and this board will provide a focus for this work. "It is vital to provide an opportunity for employers who recruit from Reading to discuss and advise on course content and other relevant issues, and this new advisory board will contribute to the continuing development of the curriculum and the ability of the University to produce top quality real estate graduates with the essential skills needed in industry. "Reading is already home to the largest department in the country for teaching and research in real estate, and part of the reason for that success is that we are open to new initiatives such as this, which keeps Reading's real estate education at the leading edge."
