Dr Rampaul's journey to excellence

09 October 2006

Dr Giselle Rampaul of the Faculty of Humanities is definitely not your regular-type of lecturer. Dr Rampaul is barely 30 and has been lecturing at University of the West Indies for three years. A three-year stay at the University of Reading in the UK to pursue a PhD followed Dr Rampaul's stint at UWI and was made possible through her being granted a University of Reading post-graduate scholarship and an Overseas Research Award. It was at Reading that Dr Rampaul was introduced to the concept of children's literature being studied at the tertiary level.
