Reading offers a complete student experience
Release Date 17 February 2011
The University of Reading now offers an even better student experience according to the Times Higher Education's latest Student Experience Survey. Reading rose to 36th out of 113th in this year's table, an improvement of five places from the previous year.
The annual survey gathers the views of more than 13,000 undergraduates who are asked to rate 21 aspects of university life. Reading scored strongly across all the criteria with particularly high marks given to its standard of teaching and learning, course structure and the campus environment . Students also indicated that they feel well supported during their time at Reading.
University of Reading Vice-Chancellor Professor Gordon Marshall commented: "What these excellent results demonstrate is that Reading offers the complete student package. As well as receiving a high-standard education, students receive excellent support, enjoy a wonderful parkland campus and have the opportunity to lead an active and varied social life. However, we are just as interested to find out about the areas in which we can still improve, so will be using the results of this survey to inform and further improve the quality of the Reading experience."
Prospective students can find out more about studying at the University of Reading by attending the next Open Day on Friday 24 June.
