'Amazon rivers of the skies drench Britain' - Reading meteorology research featured in the Sunday Times

Release Date 07 October 2012

The work of climate researchers at the University of Reading's Department of Meteorology was featured in a lead article by Jonathan Leake, writing in The Sunday Times.

Reading's Dr Richard Allan, Dr David Lavers and Dr John Methven were all quoted in the article, 'Amazon rivers of the skies drench Britain' about their NERC-funded research into how climate change is affecting atmospheric rivers - ribbons of moisture-laden air from the tropics that could be the cause of Britain's worst incidents of flooding.
