Release Date 04 April 2013

Dr Chris Davis, a space and atmospheric scientist from the University of Reading's Department of Meteorology, provided the expert knowledge of thunderstorms to allow James May's Man Lab team to attempt to capture a bolt of lightning using a rocket and a long piece of wire.

Find out if they were successful* by watching the programme again on BBC iPlayer (available until May 2).

(*Spoiler alert: they weren't).
