Release Date 05 January 2013

As a world centre for Samuel Beckett research, media talk to University of Reading experts about the impact of Beckett's 'Waiting for Godot' on its 60th anniversary. The BBC chatted to Reading Emeritus Professor Jim Knowlson, a friend of Beckett and his official biographer, while the Daily Telegraph spoke to Professor Anna Mcmullan who is leading a new Arts and Humanities Research Council funded project to examine Beckett's impact on modern theatre practice in the UK and Ireland.
