Discovering ancient artefacts on Islay – Reading in the news Weds 29 Aug

Ancient artefact discovery: Heritage Daily and Archaeology cover the news that an ancient clan artefact, dating back 400 years, has been discovered on the Scottish island of Islay during the University's excavation at Dunyvaig Castle. Prof Steve Mithen (Archaeology) is quoted in one of the pieces, as is the Reading student who discovered the item. Reading our news story here.
Reading top for agriculture: Farmers Weekly features an article on the world's top universities for the study of agriculture. It notes that Reading is in the top 10 in the world, according to the QS World Rankings, and is much higher up the ranking than the next UK-based institutions offering courses on this subject.
