Post-18 education funding review: ITV News interviewed a group of students about the Prime Minister’s speech to announce a reform of university funding and access. ITV’s Political Correspondent reported live from the University on the lunchtime news ahead of the speech. ITV Meridian and AOL.co.uk also ran a video of Sir David’s interview. BBC Radio Berkshire (1 hr 10 mins 30 secs) then interviewed Sir David on the Drive show.
UCU strikes: The Telegraph ran a story on communications to staff at Reading and City University, London, informing that striking could potentially make lecturers liable if students took legal action against universities. The National Student lists universities, including Reading, where students are petitioning for compensation on their tuition fees due to cancelled lectures.
