Hottest June: Professor Hannah Cloke (GES and Meteorology) is quoted in several stories on data released that confirms last month as the hottest June on record, and a separate study that attributes the heatwave to climate change. The story is covered by the Guardian, Sun, iNews, Independent, Gizmodo, Washington Time and WorldHealth.net. Professor Len Shaffrey (Meteorology) is also quoted in an opinion piece in Washington Times.

Freak hailstorm: Smithsonian Mag quotes Dr Chris Westbrook (Meteorology) in its story on the bizarre hailstorm in Mexico.

  • Get Reading reports that the Basic Needs charity, set up by University of Reading students, has been nominated for a Pride of Reading Award.
