#LockdownClimateChange

Dr Emma Street, Real Estate and Planning, and co-investigator of the CycleBoom project to encourage more people to cycle, said:

“We know from previous studies that many people would like to cycle more, for exercise or for commuting, but are put off by road safety concerns, existing habits, or poor fitness.

“When restrictions on movement are lifted, it would be great if people who have cycled regularly for exercise under lockdown conditions feel able to keep up the habit, and encourage governments to make more space available for cyclists of all abilities to get around safely.”
