Reading gains seven places in Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide

The University of Reading has risen seven places in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, moving to joint 31st in the latest league table.
The rise of seven places also means that Reading rises to the third highest ranked South East university in the latest Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021.
The league table published today (Friday 18 September) looks at scores from the latest National Student Survey which saw improvements in key metrics such as teaching quality and student experience, as well as graduate prospects and completion rate.
Professor Robert Van de Noort, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Reading, said: “I am pleased to see that this latest league table reflects the University of Reading’s position among the leading UK universities, and sees us continue to hold a top quartile position. This is the result of the dedication and commitment of colleagues across the institution, working closely with students to support their learning and enhance their university experience.
“Of course, the best evidence of our success comes from the example of our staff, students and graduates who are doing something about some of the biggest challenges that the world is facing, from climate change to COVID-19.
"I am immensely proud that our community is having a positive impact on the world, and we will continue to do what we can to provide an environment for all to flourish and continue that impact in the future.”
The latest edition of the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide sees six courses in the top 5 ranked in the country. The courses below include their position in the 2021 subject-level ranking:
- Animal Science - 2
- Land and Property Management - 2
- Art and Design - 3
- Building - 3
- Agriculture and Forestry - 5
- Food Science - 5
