Join us in support of Reading Pride 2019
Friday, 09 August 2019
As a university, we are proud to support our LGBT students, staff and members of the local community. On Saturday 31 August 2019 we'll be taking part in Reading Pride, along with Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU). We would love to be joined by as many staff and students as possible, so please come along!
We are seeking volunteers to help at the stall on the day. For the fourth year running, the University, RUSU, LGBT+ staff, students and allies will take part in the parade, and have a University stall at the festival site. Come and join in with the fun. We are also looking for volunteers to help us with the University stall on 31 August from 12:00 until 18:30. If you are interested in joining us, please register your interest by emailing Ann Morgan or Allan Laville.
Now in its sixteenth year, Reading Pride is set to be a fun and entertaining day for all. Festivities kick off with the Pride Parade, starting at 12;00. The parade will travel through Reading town centre before arriving at Kings Meadow for the Reading Pride Festival, featuring stalls, food, music and entertainment.
Full details are available at the Reading Pride website, and you can find out what we got up to last year in our University at Pride 2018 story.
We look forward to seeing you there!
