Recruitment of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International and Student Experience)

In addition to the recent joint appointment of Professors Elizabeth McCrum and Julian Park as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, interviews were also conducted for a new post of Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International and Student Experience. A decision was taken not to appoint to that post at this time.
This role was newly conceived and, given the recent appointments of Elizabeth and Julian as a job-share, the University Executive Board will now take the opportunity to consider more fully its current skillset, enabling the Vice-Chancellor in the New Year to make a decision on how the international and student experience portfolio(s) will be best represented at senior level. This decision has been confirmed by Council, who will also consider any further recommendations by UEB on next steps.
