University Carol Service raises funds for charities
Tuesday, 10 December 2019
Thank you to everyone who attended the University of Reading Carol Service on 2 December 2019, and thanks especially to those of you who generously donated to our two charities at the end of the service.
The sermon form the Carol Service can be read in full here.
We are thrilled to announce that we raised £722, which will be split between this year's chosen charities, selected by the Chaplaincy. Each year one local and one international charity are selected and any money collected at the Carol Service is split equally between the two.
This year's charities were ReadiFood and Freedom from Torture and each will receive £361.
ReadiFood
ReadiFood currently delivers 140 emergency food parcels every week to families and individuals (including students) in Reading.
