We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Ben Pedley Award for 2019 is Clara Hart a second-year undergraduate studying for a BA Primary Education & Music. The award is made for outstanding contribution to the musical community of the University and is presented in memory of second-year undergraduate student Ben Pedley.
We caught up with Clara to find out what winning the award meant to her:
“Since coming to Reading I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a range of musical activities. I am delighted that my contributions have been recognised by receiving this award. I am sure I will continue to enjoy many musical opportunities throughout the rest of my time here and extend my thanks to the many people that make them happen”
The presentation of the award will take place during the Spring Festival performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. The University’s Festival Sinfonia and Festival Voices are giving this concert performance of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical at 19:30 on Saturday 9 March 2019 in the Great Hall, London Road campus. The duration of concert will be about two hours including an interval. You can find out more information and book your tickets here.
