Chinese New Year 2019: Year of the Pig
Wednesday, 30 January 2019
RUSU and the University are delighted to invite you to celebrate Chinese New Year this February. Chinese New Year itself, marking the start of the Year of the Pig, falls on Tuesday 5 February. We would like to wish everyone happiness and good fortune (福 - fuk / fú), and we will be sharing red pin badges with staff and students around campus in celebration. These can be found at reception in the Palmer Building and Whiteknights House, as well as in RUSU.
Our main celebration of Chinese New Year will be a Lion Dance Performance on Tuesday 5 February at 17:30-18:30 in 3sixty, RUSU Building. There will also be dumplings, dim sum, red packets and a photobooth at our afternoon celebrations.
