All services relocate to main Library building
Tuesday, 02 July 2019
From today, 2 July, all Library services have moved back to the main Library building. The Library@URS building is now closed to staff and students. This is a significant stage in the refurbishment of the Library where services and study space return to one building.
Work does continue inside and outside the Library, including on new cycle shelters, so there may still sometimes be noise and disruption. Although the Library@URS is now closed, a variety of alternative study space options remain across campus.
Services now returned to the Library building include Library User Services’ Ground Floor Welcome Desk, the short loan collection (formerly course collection) and the holds shelf where you can collect requested material. Students can come to the Library building to receive study advice and maths support or help from subject liaison librarians.
This refurbishment forms part of the University’s ambitious 2026: Transform capital investment programme, which focuses on improving campus facilities and supporting the student experience by the University’s 100th anniversary of its charter.
