We are very pleased to announce that Matt White, our Director of Campus Commerce, has won a Catey award. The awards showcase innovative brands and people from across hotels, restaurants, foodservice and pubs and bars. Winning a Catey is so significant because recipients are nominated, selected and rewarded by their peers.

Particularly highlighted by the judges was the Sustain It scheme and the innovative beer wall on campus along with the work Matt has carried out in delivering The University wide catering strategy. The judges commented ‘Matt shows impressive innovation and has embedded sustainable projects at Reading”

To find out what winning the award meant to him we caught up with Matt, who said:

“It is a great honour to represent The University of Reading in this national arena and to be recognised by such a prestigious award as a Catey is very humbling indeed. I’d like to thank all of the Campus Commerce Team who have worked with me to deliver the various projects we have been working on to make us ‘Award Winning’ this award is theirs as much as it is mine!
