Mark Fellowes has been appointed the University’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning & Resource) for a six year term, starting 1 August 2019. His appointment follows a competitive process that was overseen by the Appointments and Governance Committee on behalf of the Council.
Mark has been working in the role on an interim basis since August last year, leading some of the major changes at the University.
Announcing Mark’s appointment, Vice-Chancellor Robert Van de Noort said, “I am delighted that Mark will continue to be a part of the University’s leadership team. He is an outstanding leader with a clear focus on making changes that work for our people and our University. As a former Head of School, he is fully aware of the challenges we face. He is also experienced in responding to similar challenges and creating new opportunities.”
Mark Fellowes said, “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to the University’s future. While the challenges we face are many and complex, I have seen how our colleagues’ knowledge, experience and undoubted commitment to the University can help us succeed together. I am very grateful for all the support I have received in the past year, and look forward to working with colleagues in academic and professional services.”
