University seeking to appoint PVC (Academic Planning & Resource)
Tuesday, 11 June 2019
The University is now seeking to appoint a Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning & Resource) for the full six year term.
The Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning & Resource) is responsible for ensuring the successful organisation and deployment of all academic staffing and resourcing across the University. They are an integral part of the University Executive Board (UEB), sharing collective responsibility for leading and managing the University in an increasingly competitive and turbulent environment.
This therefore represents an opportunity for colleagues to step into a Board-level role and to develop their careers further by taking on an academic leadership and managerial role at an important time for the institution.
Applications are welcomed from internal candidates only. The job description and person specification for the role can be found here. The closing date is Monday 24 June 2019 with interviews to be held on Monday 8 July 2019.
We are committed to having a diverse and inclusive workforce and we welcome applications on either a full time basis or where a flexible working pattern and/or a job share is proposed. Job-share applications need not indicate who the other half might be, although coordinated applications from two separate members of staff are welcomed. In this instance, however, each candidate will be assessed on their own merit in terms of their suitability in fulfilling the requirements of the role.
