The IT Improvement Survey 2018 highlighted support for University-owned Apple devices (Macs, iPads and iPhones) as a key area needing improvement. In response, the IT Security project has invested in new Apple Device Management software to manage and support Apple devices.
Benefits include the ability to centrally:
- wipe a device if it is lost or stolen
- reset forgotten passcode
- recover device locked to a staff member who is no longer at the University
- manage OS and application updates
- manage security updates and policies
