Zero Waste Society clothes swap

Following on from the University’s Green Week the RUSU Zero Waste Society is running a clothes swap on Monday 25 November. To make this accessible to colleagues it will run from 16:00-19:00 in RUSU’s Monterey Lounge. Here’s how it works:

  • Rummage through your wardrobe for those gems that are still in great condition but you just don’t wear, for whatever reason.
  • Bring at least two items of clothing with you to swap.
  • Browse the collection of good quality clothes looking for a new home and take anything that strikes your fancy.

About 85% of our used clothes (even those we donate) end up in landfill, so a clothes swap is a great way to prevent or lessen this amount. This is a great way to rejuvenate your wardrobe and be green at the same time.

More information is on the society’s Facebook page.
