New Student Progress Dashboard now available

Thursday, 03 October 2019

Students on laptops

The EMA Programme, in conjunction with the SIS Team and the IT Corporate Applications Team, is delighted to announce that a new Student Progress Dashboard is now available for both academic and support staff.

The Dashboard presents a series of screens, within RISIS, which display core information about student progress in the current Part, in the current academic year. The Dashboard shows how much summative assessment students have completed, what their progress looks like in a series of graphics and how this attainment compares to the goals that students can (optionally) set for themselves.

The Dashboard has been designed to encourage students to engage and self-reflect on their own progress over time by visualising their attainment data. It also supports the new Academic Tutorial System by providing more assessment data to Tutors, and by making that data quickly accessible to help enhance staff-student conversations.

Example of the new Student Progress Dashboard

A range of support materials are available here. These include a short, 4-minute video demonstration showing how to access and navigate the Dashboard pages, additional information surrounding the data on display and a broad range of FAQs which include access instructions.

Note that the Dashboard is currently available for colleagues who are connected to the UoR network using a cable, eduroam or VPN. Colleagues will be able to access the Dashboard, using any kind of internet connection, on or offsite, from early November.

The Dashboard will be available to students from early November 2019.

The team are keen to hear feedback! Please contact Emma Mayhew, Academic Director of the EMA Programme.
