Weekly opportunities to reflect

University Chaplaincy

The University Chaplaincy Centre

If you are looking for some 'reflective' time in your day, the University Chaplaincy Centre are holding the following weekly events during term time.

The events are from a broadly Christian perspective are open to all in the Chaplaincy Centre:

  • Monday 13:00-14:00 - Bible Study - looking at Letters of Peter from an academic perspective, with soup lunch
  • Monday 17:00-17:15 - Celtic Evening prayer - some words; silence; reflection on the day
  • Tuesday 13:00-13:40 - Catholic Mass, followed by lunch
  • Wednesday 17:00-17:30 - Meditation on an Artwork - reflection on a piece of art on the theme of Advent
  • Thursday 1:00-­13:40 - Anglican Communion, followed by lunch
  • Friday 13:00-13:20 - Quaker Meeting - silent meeting, followed by lunch

From 23 October 2019 there will be an 8-week Mindfulness Course (15:00-16:00). Please email chaplaincy@reading.ac.uk to book a free space.

Other opportunities for reflection are also provided by the Kadampa Buddhist meditation group (Park House Senior Common Room, Wednesdays 13:00-13:50), and the Muslim Centre is open daily.

The Chaplaincy Centre's quiet room, library and kitchen are open to all.
