Friday's surgery with Matt Rodda last of this term

Thursday, 31 October 2019

Matt Rodda

Due to the general election scheduled for 12 December, Friday's surgery with Matt Rodda MP will be the last one this term.

When Parliament is dissolved on 6 November, every seat in the House of Commons becomes vacant. All business in the House of Commons comes to an end. MPs stop representing their constituencies and there will be no MPs until after the general election. Therefore, the surgeries planned for after 6th November are cancelled.

The surgery on  Friday 1 November will be held in the ICMA lounge on Whiteknights Campus from 13:30 – 14:30.  The sessions are run on a drop-in basis and so you can just turn up to discuss a matter of concern with Matt.   Due to strict Parliamentary protocol Matt is unable to make representations for anyone who does not live within the Reading East constituency. If you do not live in the constituency, you should approach your own MP for assistance.  You can check who your local MP is by entering your postcode here: http://www.parliament.uk/mps-lords-and-offices/mps/

We hope to continue this initiative in the Spring term and will offer the opportunity to the MPs for Reading East and Wokingham constituencies.
