New Director of Foundation Studies appointed

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Philippa Cranwell to the role of Director of Foundation Studies. This University-wide role, responsible for our expanding domestic Foundation Year programmes, is structured as a two-year partial secondment to the International Study and Language Institute (ISLI). Philippa, who is already the Programme Director of the Science Foundation Year, will work closely with colleagues in ISLI and across the wider University to develop and promote our suite of domestic programmes.

This new role is important to the University’s commitment to expanding the portfolio of undergraduate programmes that offer a foundation year to a wider discipline base.

This is a partial secondment and Philippa remains an Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry where she is also the current Undergraduate Admissions Tutor.
