Tuesday, 17 September 2019
We’re encouraging colleagues to cycle to work – come along to the Palmer Quad on Wednesday between 11am and 5pm and be inspired to start cycling!
- Free bike check-up: Dr Bike will be on campus between 11am and 2pm to give your bike a health check and to provide a diagnosis of any repairs needed. Minor fixes may be possible on the day.
- Advice and repairs: Reading Bike Kitchen will also be on campus with bike checks and support to carry out repairs.
- Free cycle training: whether you’re a complete beginner or seasoned commuter, we’ll be offering free training from 2-6pm from qualified instructors. Please email k.robertson@reading.ac.uk to book a place.
- No bike - no problem: check out our 2nd hand bike sale; hear about the Cycle2Work tax efficient purchase scheme or how to hire a University Bike!
Among the many benefits of cycling, there is a strong link between cycling, health and wellbeing. The events listed above also form part of Wellbeing Week, a special week promoting activities and themes to help boost positivity and wellbeing.
