Coronavirus: minute's silence at 11:00

Tuesday, 28 April 2020

Minute's silence

A minute's silence will be held across the UK at 11:00 this morning, in remembrance of key workers who have lost their lives to coronavirus.

At least 90 NHS staff have died since 25 March, as have many care and transport workers.

Wherever you are this morning, please join us in paying respect to those who have lost their lives in wake of the pandemic.

The Government have timed the minute's silence to coincide with International Workers' Memorial Day, an international day of remembrance for workers killed, disabled or injured by their work.
