Update on the Staff Forum Consultation survey
Friday, 07 August 2020
A message from Steve Guest, Chair of the Staff Forum
Yet again we'd like to thank you for getting involved with the Consultation process so far, and for making your voices heard through both our Discussion and Drop-in sessions - and to everyone who responded to our survey, the sheer number of responses was overwhelmingly encouraging!
You can review the information we've released throughout the process to date on the Staff Forum Consultation webpage, as well as a summary of the Staff Forum Consultation Survey Results and links to further information released by the University.
As we move towards the next stage of the Consultation, we are temporarily pausing our Discussion sessions to focus our efforts on finalising an agreement with the University and UCU; however, we are still here to support you, and we still want to hear from you.
We're committed to continuing to give all colleagues a voice as the discussions progress, so welcome any comments and questions you may have about the process via email staff-forum@reading.ac.uk or directly through one of our Staff Forum representatives.
We're also still offering 1-2-1 Drop-in sessions, now bookable via email staff-forum@reading.ac.uk and we would be happy to talk with you about anything, including non-Consultation related matters.
We'll resume our Discussion sessions again once an agreement on Phase 1 has been reached and we're ready to embark on Phase 2 of the Consultation process; we also hope to widen the range of topics we discuss during these sessions to include conversations around well-being and returning to the workplace amongst others, as we fully understand that colleagues have concerns outside of the Consultation process.
Again, we'd like to thank all colleagues for getting involved - as we've said all along, effective consultation needs your engagement and it's been incredibly inspiring to see so many of you having your say and really engaging with the process so far.
Please do let us know if you need our support, or if you have any questions or comments, and we'll be very happy to help; otherwise, we hope you'll all be able to join us again when our Discussion sessions resume.
Kind regards,
Steve
