Changes to Library Click & Collect service
Friday, 21 August 2020
Users of the Library's Click & Collect service should note that the collection point will change from Monday 24 August.
The new collection point will be located at the Short Loan Collection area on the Library's ground floor. This is the area that faces the Palmer Quad, opposite the Palmer Building.
It is anticipated that the service will be in higher demand from the start of the autumn term, and the new collection point should help accommodate the extra requests.
The Library Team have been working hard planning and rearranging the Library services and spaces for autumn term. You won't have to come into the main entrance to access the Click & Collect service. You can enter (and exit) the area via doors from the path along the Library side of the quad.
You'll also be able to borrow your books yourself via the Self-Issue machines again. The team have moved the machines in the Short Loan Collection so that you can use them after you have received your Click & Collect request before you leave the building. Sanitiser and wipes will be available for you to use.
The Click & Collect system itself remains the same so you can still place your holds in the same way. For more information on how to place holds, visit the Library website.
The move also enables the Library's queuing system in the foyer to be adapted so that it provides one route to access the café and another to access study space and the IT Service Desk.
The Library is aiming to open access to study spaces from Monday 7 September. Further details will be shared as soon as possible.
