Graduate Outcomes sector level data available
Wednesday, 02 December 2020

Earlier this year, in June, we announced the release of the University of Reading's internal analysis of the Graduate Outcomes data. This data is available to all members of staff and we hope that the data will help academic schools and departments gain an insight into the employment impact of their degree programmes and related initiatives.
We are pleased to announce that we have produced a Graduate Outcomes sector level dashboard. Analysis is provided at both Institution- and Subject-level, allowing for in-depth viewing. The dashboard contains data for the League Table-eligible cohorts (UK-domiciled, full-time, first degree) from the 2017/18 Academic Year only and is intended to allow staff the ability to contextualise their scores, relative to other institutions.
As the Graduate Outcomes survey was designed to replace the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey, we currently only have one year's worth of data available and therefore cannot do any comparisons against previous academic years. This posed a challenge to all institutions of putting their analysis in context with the rest of the sector.
This dashboard is only available to staff at the University and contains data rounded and suppressed according to HESA's methodology.
Please note: This dashboard is our interpretation of the data using the old DLHE methodology. HESA will likely had a slight different way to model the data and those interested can find out more from HESA's Open Data release.
Careers are running webinars for all staff to demonstrate the dashboard this week and a recording will be available afterwards for those unable to attend.
