Staff Forum

Message from Steve Guest, Chair of the Staff Forum

Dear colleagues,

After the Vice-Chancellor's briefing sessions last week, it is clear that we as a community will be experiencing some challenging times.

As soon as the Council has approved proposals we will be invited to formal consultation along with the UCU. Part of our role will be to help inform, communicate and establish clear lines of communication throughout this phase.

We will be playing an integral part through this whole process, and are here to support colleagues across the University.

As a first step we are planning to hold a recorded event where we will be asking your questions to the UEB.

We ask that if you have any questions or want more detail on what has already been discussed, email the staff-forum@reading.ac.uk

We are also planning on holding sessions where staff can sign up to discuss topics from the talk or on how we, as a community, can work together through this period of uncertainty.

We will be here to make sure your voices are heard.
