Student COVID Review report

RUSU

In the Vice-Chancellor’s briefing session on 5 November 2020, Robert Van de Noort made reference to a recent survey undertaken by Reading University Students’ Union (RUSU) on COVID-19.

The Student COVID Review was launched in October and focused on gathering students' thoughts on the University’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak. It asked questions on the delivery of courses, the University’s response to the initial outbreak, the delivery and processing of exam results in the summer, the quality of teaching and the return to campus. Nearly 600 students took part in the review. 

Overall, while students are understandably frustrated with the impact of government restrictions on their experience, there was some support for the University’s delivery of teaching and assessments in the circumstances. RUSU has provided a review of the results, including the free text comments, so that we can use this feedback to help us better understand the student experience currently on offer, and identify any ways it could be further improved.
