Online Alumni Lecture: Dr Lawrence Haddad - The Private Sector and Global Nutrition: Are Businesses Heroes or Villains?

Wednesday 18 November, 18:30

We are delighted to announce the next event in our inspirational Alumni Lecture Series, taking place online on Wednesday 18 November at 18.30 (UK time).

The event will feature alumnus Dr Lawrence Haddad (BSc Food Science and Food Economics, 1980),  an economist who has forged an influential career in food, agriculture and nutrition and is currently Executive Director of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN).  The lecture will examine the tricky relationship between nutrition and the private sector - the role it plays in delivering food across the globe, consumerism and much more.

You can find more information and details of how to register on this page.

Diversity seminars

Throughout the Autumn Term, we will be continuing conversations about race. We will be reflecting on racial experiences, racial injustices and discussing the work some of our colleagues have begun in helping to bring about positive changes to how things are.

All the events are open to staff and students across UoR, free to attend, virtual (via Microsoft Teams) and you can register your attendance by completing this short online form.

If your School or Function is organising an event that you would like to share, please email diversity@reading.ac.uk
