National Teaching Fellowship and Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence
Thursday, 29 October 2020
The Centre for Quality Support and Development (CQSD) is pleased to announce the launch of the National Teaching Fellowship (NTFS) and Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) Expressions of Interest schemes. These are open from Monday 26 October for colleagues who wish to be considered as one of the University's nominees for a National Teaching Fellowship or a Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence in 2021.
The National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS) and Collaborative Award for Teaching Excellence (CATE) are prestigious national schemes run by Advance HE. The NTFS celebrates and rewards outstanding individual impact on student outcomes and the teaching profession in higher education, whilst the CATE scheme recognises and rewards collaborative work that has had a demonstrable impact on teaching and learning. The University will select up to three nominees to go forward to the national NTF scheme and one team to go forward to the national CATE scheme this year. Nominees will then receive support from an appropriate mentor in preparing their submission to Advance HE.
The closing date for the NTF Expression of Interest scheme is 17:00 on Monday 30 November 2020 and the closing date for the CATE Expression of Interest scheme is 17:00 on Monday 7 December 2020.
Please visit the NTFS Expressions of Interest and CATE Expressions of Interest webpages for details of the scheme criteria and a link to the application forms.
Advance HE, in collaboration with the Association of National Teaching Fellows (ANTF) and the CATE Winners' Network (CATE-Net) are arranging for monthly 'virtual roadshow' webinars to support those interested in applying for these prestigious teaching excellence awards. You can sign up to any of these events via the relevant booking links on the University's NTFS and CATE webpages.
