Thank you to all who have registered so far - if you haven't already booked a place, please register by 12:00 on Wednesday 9 September. The session will be held online via Microsoft Teams, and you can use this form to book your place.
Due to a technical issue, some registrations have come through without email addresses or names - if you registered between 09:00 and 09:40 on Wednesday 2 September and you haven't already received an invite, please complete the registration form again or contact communications@reading.ac.uk. Around 50 registrations have been affected, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
What will be discussed?
In this briefing, the Vice-Chancellor will be joined by chairs of the Major Recovery Team, Professors Parveen Yaqoob and Julian Park. With the start of the new academic year fast approaching, colleagues will no doubt have questions about how campus will look and feel after so many months away. Parveen and Julian will provide an update on our phased return, including the huge amount of work being done to ensure we can provide a vibrant campus environment for colleagues and students, while protecting the health and wellbeing of our whole University community.
Our newly appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International, Paul Inman, will also take the opportunity to introduce himself to colleagues and share his early thoughts on global engagement priorities.
What if I can't attend?
For those who cannot attend, a video and summary of the briefing session will be shared on the staff portal in the days following the briefing.
