Society exhibition focuses on perfect pictures
Wednesday, 10 March 2010
Reading University Photographic Society launches its first public exhibition of over 40 photographs showcasing the best work of 33 of its members. The collection covers a wide variety of subject matter including landscapes, abstracts and close-ups.
Society members were invited to submit a photo that they felt typified their finest work, and the committee have aimed to ensure that the collection shows off the collective capabilities of all its members.
It is currently showing in the Palmer Building on Whiteknights campus until Friday 12 March, and will be moving to Reading Central Library from Monday 15 - Friday 19 March. Visitors are welcome to come and view the exhibition, and the photographs will also be available to buy.
The exhibition has been made possible by funding from Reading University Students' Union and from the University's Annual Fund through donations made by Reading Alumni.
Reading University Photographic Society is run by students for students and non-students and its aim is to encourage the development of photographers no matter what the level of experience. Read more about the society at www.reading.ac.uk/photosoc.
