'See 4 great films this season and see 5th for free'
The University hosts the extremely popular Reading Film Theatre that screens some of the best films around, every week during term time.
Film lovers can experience large screen with Dolby sound in the Palmer Theatre, Whiteknights for only £4 if they sign up for membership. £5.50 for non-members. All welcome.
Reading Film Theatre (RFT) is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year and highlights include screenings of several Oscar winners - the first film directed by Tom Ford, the designer, is A Single Man with Colin Firth (Tuesday 20 April), the entertaining George Clooney vehicle Up in the Air, (Thursday 20 May) the acclaimed Precious, (Tuesday 4 May) Clint Eastwood's Invictus, (Tuesday 15 June) and Nightwatching, a new Rembrandt biopic movie from Peter Greenaway to name but a few (Thursday 17 June). Why not make an evening out by taking advantage of the Senior Common Room in Park House or Mojo's Bar in the Students' Union that serve food and alcoholic drinks; Cafe Mondial for salads, snacks or Dol.che Vita for sandwiches, hot and cold drinks.

Ticket Prices
Members £4, non-members £5.50, Senior citizens and unwaged £4 (with proof of status), children 14 and under £4. Annual Membership £9.00.
See 4 great films this season and see 5th for free. RFT is offering a new Loyalty card scheme. Each time you come to see a film, your card will be stamped at the box office. When you have 4 stamps, hand in your card in exchange for a free ticket to a film of your choice. The card is valid for one season only.
An induction loop system has been installed in the theatre for the hearing impaired. There is space for six wheelchair users.
