Foxhill Lawyers complete Legal Walk

Foxhill Lawyers rest in Hyde Park

Foxhill Lawyers rest in Hyde Park beneath a sculpture by Reading law alumnus Simon Gudgeon

'The School of Law is delighted to be part of this venture, and it is particularly pleased to be able to support Reading's Law Clinic' Professor Patricia Leopold, School of Law

A team from the School of Law, the Foxhill Lawyers, completed their sponsored 10 km London Legal Walk.  Half the money raised by the team will go towards Reading's first and only free Law Clinic based at Communicare at Cemetery Junction. The Clinic is run by volunteers from Shoosmiths solicitors and Reading law students.

The walk included a section in Hyde Park and passed the beautiful sculpture ‘Isis' by Reading law alumnus Simon Gudgeon, who abandoned the law to become an artist. The three metre high bronze sculpture is the first new public sculpture to go on display in Hyde Park for 50 years.

"The School of Law is delighted to be part of this venture, and it is particularly pleased to be able to support Reading's Law Clinic," said Professor Patricia Leopold, School of Law.
