Wednesday, 04 August 2010

Dr Katherine Harloe

Dr Katherine Harloe

Dr Katherine Harloe, Lecturer in Classics, is featured in a 20-minute interview on the Open University's ‘Classics Confidential' website and Youtube channel.

Dr Harloe was the invited opening speaker at the triennial Open University international classical reception studies conference, which this year was on the theme ‘Classics in the Modern World: A Democratic Turn'.

The conference addressed the radical use and re-use of classical material, texts and ideas by different groups and communities over the last thirty or forty years.

Dr Harloe was one of many eminent speakers at the conference from four continents - a truly international conference.
