Park Place opening

Sir John Madejski opens Park Place

'Park Place is fantastic. It has a comfortable, bright and modern atmosphere; the food is excellent and provides a great choice for students.' Elaine Nicol, Group Residences Manager - Redlands Group

Nearly 300 members of staff gathered to celebrate the completion of the construction of two new halls of residence in the Park Group - Stenton and Mackinder, and the new facilities in the centre of the Group - Park Place, on Wednesday 8 September.

The University's Chancellor Sir John Madejski was among the guests that sampled some of the delicious menus being produced by the new Central Kitchen and cocktails served in the new bar area.

After a tour of the Halls and partaking of the food, staff watched Sir John Madejski cut a ribbon to symbolise the official opening of Park Place. All staff are welcome to use the new catering facility and judging by the standard of Wednesday's food and drink they will not be disappointed.

Group Residences Manager of Redlands Group, Elaine Nicol said; " I think the facility is fantastic. It has a comfortable, bright and modern atmosphere; the food is excellent and provides a great choice for students."
