Exhibition on campus of wind energy development planning application

Partnerships for Renewables, a wind energy development organisation, have recently submitted a planning application for a wind energy development on University land at Rushy Mead, south of the M4.
The application is for four wind turbines with an expected combined capacity of 10 megawatts, generating an amount of electricity equivalent to that required for more than 4,000 average households.
Partnerships for Renewables will be bringing a small exhibition to the foyer of the Palmer Building on Monday 18 October to outline their planning application for the benefit of staff and students.
For anyone interested in finding out more, staff from Partnerships for Renewables will be manning their exhibition from 11am-5pm. Details of the application and photo montages are available on the website: www.rushy-mead.com.

The wind energy investigations at Rushy Mead were announced by the University of Reading and Partnerships for Renewables in February 2008.
