CommUnity - October 2010

The front cover of this edition of CommUnity features a photograph of the table-tennis table sized lino cut by local artist, Sally Castle, which is displayed in the Carrington Building. The photograph was taken by Carol Prior.

'If any members of staff have any stories they would like to be considered for the next issue then please do get in touch.' Ann Westgarth, Community Relations Manager

CommUnity magazine is produced twice a year in February and October and is distributed to over 15,000 householders in the local area. It informs local residents about what is happening at the University and highlights positive ways in which the University engages with the local community. The magazine also carries listings of the variety of events and activities open to members of the public.

Ann Westgarth, Community Relations Manager, who produces the magazine said: "I am delighted by the positive feedback I have received about the October edition of CommUnity so far.

"I know that many people take part in the events listed in the magazine as a result of receiving it, and the local community are always keen to hear about the positive impact that staff and students at the University have in the local area. If any members of staff have any stories they would like to be considered for the next issue then please do get in touch."

In the current issue
