Update on USS Consultation and Equality Impact

Thursday, 16 December 2010

calculating

We would like to remind you that the consultation period in respect of proposed changes to the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) closes on 22 December 2010. If you have not yet contributed to this process then we would urge you to do so.

A provisional Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) has been produced and can be viewed on the HR website (http://www.reading.ac.uk/humanresources/rdg-only/equal_opportunities.htm).

The University welcomes comments on the EIA, in particular from staff who come under one of the ‘protected characteristics' (disabled or ethnic minority/BME). All comments received will be forwarded to USS, along with the EIA, by 22 December 2010.

All responses should be directed to Alan Stainton at a.d.stainton@reading.ac.uk
