Calling all staff involved in the University's provision of Continuing Professional Development
Friday, 28 January 2011
If you are involved in the development, delivery and/or support of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in some way, a new CPD Staff Forum could be of interest to you.
The University is already a significant provider of CPD courses nationally and, increasingly, internationally. It supports our learning and teaching, enterprise, and internationalisation agenda and both credit-bearing and non-credit bearing CPD provision is an important part of the University's engagement with its non traditional audiences.
The new CPD Staff Forum aims to share knowledge, ideas and best practise with colleagues to improve the University's effectiveness in developing and delivering sustainable and appropriate CPD provision. The Forum will be your opportunity to contribute to the debate as well as to influence how it may evolve to fit your needs in future.
There will also be a short presentation on the draft form of web-based sources of information that may help you in your role. This is the outcome of an ongoing project which aims to provide some clarity, useful sources of information and contact details of who can support and provide advice on wide ranging issues from Agresso coding and costing & pricing to market research and sustainability of courses - and much more.
It is hoped that the Forum's initial meeting will take place in February.
Please register your interest in taking part by emailing cpd@reading.ac.uk.
CSTD will contact you with joining instructions in due course.
I look forward to hearing from you.
